Product Description
silicon carbide is produced at high temperature in an electric resistance type furnace with quarts sand and petroleum coke as its main raw materials. Its hardness is between fused alumina and synathetic diamond. Mechanical intensity of it is hig-her than fused alumina.it is brittle and sharp and has electrical and heat conductivity in some degree.
Properties of Sic is extreme hardness, high temperature resisting, chemical erosion resisting, radiation resisting and good electric conductivity and thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, it’s Moh’s hardness is 9-9.5.
Silicon carbon is a new kind of reinforced steel-making deoxidizing agent and ideal thermal insulating agent.it is used for deoxidizing. The usage dose is 1-4kg/t can make electricity consumption to reduce 15-20kw/h and time to reduce 15-20min per furnace to raise productivity rate to 8-10%.
Application of silicon carbide recycle:
1. Used to grind cast iron, rubber, non-ferrous metals, leather, plastic, ceramic, wood, rock, etc.
2. Widely used to manufacture high-grade refractory products and metallurgical deoxidizer.
3. Suitable for surface grinding, lapping or polishing.
