Product Description:

 

 

Refractory industry application tabular alumina TA are high-purity sintered alpha-alumina spheres (in various sizes),which is fired at extremely high temperatures(>1900) to reduce porosity to a very low level.The high temperature process leads the growth of large plate-like, alpha-alumina crystals giving"tabular"alumina its name.

 

Refractory industry application tabular alumina TA is of high refractoriess,excellent thermol shock resistance,fantastic anti-creeping and anti-strippingperformance.

 

 

Product Performance:

 

 

1. Low open porosity and large crystals with closed spherical pores

 

2. High refractoriness, high mechanical strength and abrasion resistance

 

3. Good chemical purity, excellent dielectric properties and good resistance against acid and alkali corrosion.

 

 

 

Application:

 

 

It has been widely used as the material of choice in unshaped and shaped high performance refractoriesused in a variety of industries (steel, foundry, cement, glass, petrochemical, ceramic and waste incineration).

 

Other common non-refractory applications include its use in kiln furniture and for metal filtration.

 

It is the preferred material to substitute for imported sintered alumina.
